New myPNOZ

The modular safety relay myPNOZ enables tailor-made safety solutions – to meet the exact requirements of your plant and machinery. With myPNOZ Pilz is introducing B2C sales processes to the world of B2B. You choose, we’ll put it together.

The aim of Pilz relays is to keep the risk to man and machine as low as possible. To guarantee this protection, for decades Pilz has been developing innovative safety relays that have proven their worth on the market a million times over.

PSENopt Tools

The software tool PSENopt Configurator makes it considerably easier to install and manage the light beam devices PSENopt Advanced: All individual beams are visible in the software. As a result you can undertake the whole configuration of your light beam devices in one tool – from alignment through to functions such as muting, blanking and cascading.

The PSENopt Configurator also provides fast diagnostics. An interrupted light beam device can immediately be located. This guarantees few downtimes and high availability for your machine.

The PSENopt Configurator is used to install and manage the light beam devices PSENopt Advanced. It enables the entire configuration to be realised: from alignment of the light beam devices through to functions such as muting, blanking and cascading. It can also be used for swift diagnostics via live representation of the individual beams.

Benefits of PSENscan Configurator

With PSENscan Configurator, you can quickly and easily set all the important parameters for the operation of your safety laser scanner PSENscan on the PC.

For simple on-site configuration you can create a live image of the environment using PSENscan Configurator. Show this environment image in Configurator and set your zone configuration accordingly.

PSENscan Configurator also supports you by displaying scanner and I/O status during diagnostics.

Safe zone monitoring

The safe camera systems are used to monitor 2D or 3D zones. In contrast to simple sensors, they are able to record and analyse detailed information about the whole monitored zone. They provide a high level of safety plus user-friendly functionalities for many safety and standard control functions.

Safe protection zone monitoring

The safe radar sensor PSENradar, in conjunction with the configurable small controller PNOZmulti 2, offers a safe, complete solution for protection zone monitoring – including conformity assessment for the plant or machine.

Safe radar sensors are used where optoelectronic sensors reach their limits: rugged environments, such as outdoors or in material processing for example, can be monitored safely using PSENradar. That’s because radar technology (FMCW: frequency modulated continuous wave) ensures high availability even where there are external influences such as dust, dirt, rain, light, sparks or vibrations.

The underlying volumetric monitoring with a frequency of 24 – 24.25 GHz can be used up to SIL 2, PL d and Category 3, which is often a requirement in robot applications. The complete solution also has additional interfaces, such as Ethernet and Profisafe, so making it easy to use the safety radar sensor in retrofit applications.

Rear access protection

The safety laser scanners PSENscan provide optimum protection against people entering at access points to danger zones. Thanks to integrated muting inputs, they are also suitable for applications in which material is transported in and out simultaneously.

Where it is difficult to see into danger zones, safety laser scanners PSENscan detect a person’s current location. So they effectively prevent the hazardous movement from re-starting.

Guard Protection

With our modular safety gate system, we’re offering you an individual safety gate solution that’s perfectly coordinated to your application. So we’re enabling you to flexibly combine individual components to suit your requirements. Not only do you benefit from reliable safety gate safeguarding; you also profit from access permission management at the same time. This ensures that only authorised employees have access to the installation and can execute commands such as stop, unlock, lock or acknowledge.

Secure Safety Gate

Safety switches can be used in a variety of areas: when a guard is opened, hazardous machine movements must be stopped, for example, and a restart must be prevented. It must not be possible to either defeat or manipulate the guards.

The safety switches PSEN meet these requirements effectively and economically and are therefore ideal for safety gate and position monitoring.

Safe position monitoring

Whether on the assembly line or the machine – where safety in the production area is concerned, the safe rope pull switch PSENrope is a proven, reliable solution. You can guarantee a safe stop at every point of the conveyor.

The encoders PSENenco are used to determine position and speed in the automation system PSS 4000.

For position monitoring with an actuator you can use the magnetic safety switches PSENmag and the coded safety switch PSENcode. With the version of the coded safety switch PSEN csx.19, up to three positions can be safely monitored and differentiated.
